OLD GIRL TO BECOME COLLEGE HEAD

We are delighted to announce that Debbie Martin (née Dunton) has been appointed as Head of St Anne’s from 2021. Debbie is the first female Head since Mrs Sheila Morgan, who left at the end of 1974, and our first Old Girl to hold the position of College Head.

Debbie attended St Anne’s as a pupil and was Deputy Head Girl in 1981. She has maintained close ties with her alma mater, many of whom are still dear friends today. She and her husband, Alan, married in the St Anne’s chapel, and their daughter, Frances, matriculated from the College in 2019.

Prior to joining the St Anne’s staff as Deputy Head: Pastoral Care in 2017, Debbie served as Deputy Head: Academics at Maritzburg College.

We are so proud to have Debbie as one of our alumnae and know that she holds the College and its values close to her heart. We wish her well in her journey as Head of St Anne’s. Congratulations, Debbie!
