In chapel this morning, Rev Sue spoke of “the peace of God which surpasses all understanding”. Peace is something we all want and particularly in the lead up to exams, it is helpful to have moments of peace which can bring clarity of thought. It is proven that anxiety increases if it is not interrupted and it is important that we notice our anxiety. We can then use different ways to become present to ourselves again. Regular meditation and prayer can stabilise our well-being and help us to find peace amidst the stressful times. Even if our minds wander during meditation, with practice we can draw ourselves back to the moment. Rev Sue closed the service with a short meditation to give us a stable beginning to the week ahead.
