The 4th Term started with a celebration of the Eucharist where Rev Sue spoke on extraordinary stories which happen when people are committed to living their lives for God. Nehemiah was one such person in the Old Testament and through his desire to serve God, he was able to lead his exiled people back to Judah. In the New Testament, we read of Jesus meeting many people who wanted to do the will of God but made various excuses as to why they could not fully commit to Him. Following God requires a deep commitment to Jesus. Some of the characteristics of people living in the Kingdom of God are love, mercy, forgiveness and justice. If we live in the Kingdom of God, we will hear His voice and live lives filled with purpose which will produce extraordinary stories reflecting God’s glory.
