Congratulations to Emma Pennington, Gemma Fradd and Kim and Claire van Rooyen who all completed the 2021 Duzi Canoe Marathon. Despite the very tough conditions, the four girls did very well and can be proud of their achievement. Kim and Claire finished 2nd in the u18 K2 and Gemma and Emma were 3rd u18 K2. There were over 530 entries and of those only 32 were female boats (K1 and K2).
At the ESP show held at Shongweni, Philippa Erskine came second in the 1.10m Show jumping class, and Emily Barker came 3rd and 7th in the 1.25m events. Philippa also came first in both the elementary dressage classes at a previous event.
Congratulations to Georgina Butcher who has been invited by Swimming South Africa to attend the “SA Olympic Trials” to be held in PE from the 6th – 12th of April. She will be fortunate enough to be competing against the top swimmers in South Africa (including overseas swimmers). Best of luck
